Your Google files.
Only the ones you choose.

Connect a Google account for Drive file actions, and optionally match Gmail messages to projects by sender or thread.

Connect a Google account

Google sign-in and Drive access are separate. A connection uses Google’s drive.file permission, which covers files MCPBinder creates and files you choose, not your whole Drive.

  1. In your workspace, open Settings → Sources & accounts. Owners and admins can connect accounts.
  2. Under Google Drive, select Connect Google, enter an Account name and the Google email address, and select Continue to Google.
  3. Choose that same email on Google’s consent screen and approve.
  4. The account then shows Drive connected. If it says Authorization not finished, select Continue to Google again.

Add existing Drive files

Where file selection is available, open Resources → Add files from Google Drive, choose a project and the connected account, then pick up to 20 files. Only the person who connected the account can do this.

MCPBinder saves a reference and attaches it to the project without copying the file’s content. Folders, shortcuts, and trashed files can’t be added.

Match Gmail messages

The first sync and any rule change check up to the latest 1,000 messages, then new mail is followed. Removing a rule keeps earlier matches; to detach a Gmail reference for good, remove its rule first, or a later sync may restore it.

  1. On the connected account, select Enable Gmail matching and approve in Google.
  2. In a project or task, open Connections and save a matching rule for a sender address or thread ID.
  3. Matching emails appear with their subject, sender, thread ID, and Gmail link. Message bodies and attachments aren’t imported.

Agents and disconnecting

An agent can use a Google account only if you select it under Accounts when you connect the agent. File actions such as creating a Doc or exporting a PDF run in the background, so wait for them to finish.

Disconnect stops Drive and Gmail syncing for the account and removes agents’ access; resources already tracked stay. If MCPBinder can’t revoke access at Google, remove it in your Google account’s settings.
